Conducting

Following his training at Northampton Music School, University of Surrey and The Juilliard School, Oliver has enjoyed a conducting career spanning over 20 years, working with amateurs and professionals in concert, theatre, church and education settings.

Appointments have included conductor/music director of Guildford Opera Company, Leicester Philharmonic Choir, Milton Keynes Chorale, and the Ceramic City Choir in Stoke-on-Trent, along with guest conductor appearances with many others.

Conducting credits include Haydn Nelson Mass with Manchester Camerata, Bach Mass in B Minor with Floriligium, Vaughan Williams A Sea Symphony with National Festival Orchestra and Verdi Requiem with Orchestra da Camera. He has also worked as a chorus master for eminent conductors including Sir Neville Marriner, Lorin Maazel, Hilary Davan Wetton and Edward Gardner.
